Contractor Eligibility & Expectations

We seek compassionate, reliable, and professional individuals to join our growing network of care consultants. All applicants must meet the following baseline requirements:

Basic Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be fluent in English (bilingual or multilingual a plus)
  • Must have legal work authorization in the U.S. (valid work permit, green card, or U.S. citizenship)
  • Must provide two valid forms of identification (e.g., passport, driver's license, green card)

Documentation & Compliance

  • Completion of our Independent Contractor Agreement, which includes:
    • Confidentiality commitment
    • Statement of truth and professional integrity
    • Understanding of applicable state and federal care-related labor regulations
  • Must account for any significant employment gaps during screening
  • Agreement to background screening following job offer (includes criminal, SSN, sex offender, and DMV checks)

Education & Training

  • Minimum of a high school diploma (BA/BSc degrees, or relevant certifications preferred)
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire
  • Familiarity with the needs of aging adults, individuals with chronic illness, or caregiving families is strongly encouraged
  • Experience with developmental, emotional, or end-of-life care is a plus

Experience & Commitment

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant caregiving, advocacy, transition, or service-based experience
  • Preference for individuals seeking long-term or ongoing contract opportunities
  • Availability for daytime, evening, or occasional weekend assignments
  • Availability for travelling services locally, nationally or globally should the opportunity arise
  • Willing to attend a personal interview as part of the onboarding process

Transportation & Safety

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments
  • Comfortable with local travel and interstate travel; out-of-country assignments will be discussed in advance

Additional Notes

  • Final offers are made in writing via our Contractor Service Agreement
  • A third-party background screening is completed upon mutual acceptance
  • Applicants for roles supporting children, vulnerable adults, or those with complex needs will be expected to understand the nuances of their care environment
